Elbe departing from Hamburg 14 May 1859 for Quebec

The earliest ship records I can locate for the Pine Creek founders coming to America is in 1859.  The Ship's were the Laura, Donau, and the Eble.

On May 14, 1859 the ship Elbe left Hamburg, Germany bound for Quebec with several related families: Mathias Piekarski, Rosalie Platowna, Catharina Libera, Martin Galewski, John Walinski, Joseph Bronk, Frank (Runsavage) Rzenszewicz, Mathias Kistowski, Michael Konkel

The family came to the United States in August of 1859 on the Ship Donau, with other families who settled Pine Creek.

Unlike some of the other families on the ship they may have gone to Canada, instead of Winona, Minnesota or Dubuque, Iowa in 1860.

Peter (1811) and Julianna Constantia Turzynski (1823) Kaldunski came with their family from Wdzydze Kiszewska region in Poland, parish of Wiele, to the Pine Creek area about 1865. They were blessed with a family of seven children. All the children were born in Wdzydze, Poland except for Joannes and Mary who were born in Pine Creek.

The family was on the 1870 in Trempealeau, Wisconsin with a son born in Canada.
